Spin It Out

Spit in palm and, make a deal,
to grasp a contract with a worn-down wheel.
When you would rather drift away,
into a lateral flight…
Instead of waiting, once again,
abandoned, by the wayside.

Clamber into a grey machine —
an ideal, remade… A dirty, fearsome thing.
Shaped to rattle Pandora’s hope
and silvered…
